The International Space Station turns 15!!

  The International Space Station launched 15 years ago from a Russian proton rocket and has been an instrumental part of space study and exploration. The station has a gym so that astronauts bones and muscles will not deteriorate, this along with a healthy diet will keep them strong and fit against the affects of space. 

  It travels at speeds close to 5 miles per second. It's size is that of a football field, end zone to end zone. It has eight miles of wire that connects all of it's components, with fifty two computers controlling the station. The station has only had 204 individuals since it's launch in 1998.

I won a pair of Skullcandy UpRock Headphones about a month ago from the Crush sweepstakes. They have a ladder headband that really helps to get the exact fit for each head style. They have dual layer ear pillows that are very comfortable and help to keep noise out. They have a limited lifetime warranty, but they are very sturdy headphones. I have used them for about a month from my laptop to my tablet to my phone even and they have excellent clarity. They are some of the best headphone I have ever used and I like them better than earbuds, which either don't fit my ears or they hurt after continuous use. To know exactly how they feel, sound and look like buy a set for yourself or for someone for Christmas, they would also be a nice birthday present to go along with a brand new PS4 or Xbox One.

Check out this latest YouTube video with Jean Claude Van Damme (Bloodsport and many other movies) mastering an amazing split on two Volvo trucks which are designed for precision driving. Very cool stunt but I would recommend not trying this at home.

For those of you that are interested in The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit, the next movie in the hobbit series is coming out on December 13. We will go even deeper in the journey with Bilbo Baggins, the Dwarves and Gandalf to come across Smaug (a fierce dragon guarding a massive amount of gold at Erebor). This is a great movie to see on Christmas, and to spend time with family while watching it. If you are like me I like to eat while watching a movie so I usually head to Studio Movie Grill, but there is also the Alamo Drafthouse you can eat and watch a movie too. If you want to get yourself ready for a great movie I would suggest you check out this trailer for the movie if you haven't seen it already.

I was lucky enough to attend this years Texas 500 Sprint Chase For The Cup Event at Texas Motor Speedway courtesy of Chevrolet Trackside Experience. Jimmie Johnson led a majority of the race and won the Sprint Chase For The Cup. Danica Patrick spoke with us and relayed some info about her and how she is very involved with her family, she says that teamwork is the number one thing she looks for in her crew. The event started at 7:30 with a test drive of a new 2014 Chevy Silverado, which was very luxurious. The handling was great along with it's acceleration. These pictures are of the model cars they had:

New Technology and Cars

Chevrolet is a very integral part of the races considering a majority of the cars are Chevy's. They have some brand new technology that they are installing in several vehicles such as the shutters that go behind the radiator that shut at a certain speed so that the car or truck gets better gas mileage, they have also cut some of the weight out of the vehicles and are using an aluminum (the same as ships are made from) to make cars and trucks which makes them light and more durable. The all new Chevy Cruze gets an estimated 46 MPG Hwy, which is astounding. A Chevy rep stated that "Media crews were given the Cruze to test drive, one crew went over 800 miles on one tank of gas."

We got to take a tour of the garage and the pits, they have spare parts for just about everything, new engines, transmissions, plenty of tires, etc. Their trailers are loaded down with spare parts so that they can stay in the race. The garage is very busy, almost no room to walk and cars are being pushed from every direction, checked and readied for the race. The pits are just about the same with the pit crews getting tires ready by gluing the lug nuts to the rims so that when they need a change they can get it done within seconds.

Overall the event was very fun and we had a great time. Chevrolet was very accommodating, they fed us, gave us a bag of goodies as well as a shirt. Thank You so much Chevrolet for this wonderful experience.

Watch_Dogs Pushed Back To 2014

With Watch_Dogs being delayed until spring 2014 many are wondering if this was such a great move. It's claimed by an Ubisoft spokesperson that they need a little more time to fine tune the game and polish those last minute details.

'We know a lot of you are probably wondering: Why now? We struggled with whether we would delay the game. But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune each detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience.'

Although this has stirred some controversy in the gaming industry, it can be a great tactic to get a few more players interested in the title before the release. If more companies would take the time to check and recheck and continue to fine tune their games it could increase sales. Time will only tell.

This has also affected the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One pre-order bundles, those that ordered the Watch_Dogs Bundle will have to wait to receive the game until Spring 2014. For those that have pre-ordered you will most likely be able to substitute a new release if you so incline. Keep watch as we get closer to Spring 2014 as there has not been an official release date in Spring.

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag just released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 29, 2013. For those that can't afford to muster up the courage to tackle the vast seas in the Caribbean of Black Flag can still join in the fight for power and gold. Assassin's Creed Pirates is just what you need for your high end smart phone or tablet device. You will continue to explore the seas with the ability to upgrade your ship, and manage your crew. Be prepared to experience spectacular 3D visuals with an all new mobile engine created by Ubisoft Paris. Your skills as a pirate and captain will come in to play as the weather changes and winds pickup and change rapidly, each of these will directly impact your gameplay. Landscapes such as lush islands and the fantastic moving water will give you the urge to be apart of the pirate golden age.

Every pirate needs to be well established in their skills on the sea. How will you destroy enemy ships, cannons, mortar and swivel guns; get in close or fire from a distance? Don't just rely on your skills, you will also need to upgrade your ship with new sails to grab those gusty winds, a new rudder to outmaneuver your enemies,and more cannons for your deck. Your crew members are your best hope of overcoming enemies, recruit more crew to earn perks and become the most feared captain on the seas.

Release

Coming this fall to high end smartphones and tablets. Keep your eyes open and your heart set on gold for this fall you shall become the most feared of all pirates.
